LDP Bangladesh (ldpbd.org) is the official website of the Liberal Democratic Party, a registered political party in Bangladesh founded in 2006. The platform serves as a full digital presence for the party — covering party constitution (in both English & Bangla), election manifesto, president biography & speeches, executive committee listings, associated organizations, archive (articles, books, videos), photo gallery, programs, and a donation & membership registration system. The site is bilingual (English & Bangla) and built on Odoo.

Technical Approach

Built on Odoo with custom website modules and bilingual (i18n) support for English and Bangla. Developed custom page controllers for all party sections — constitution, manifesto, committees, archive, and programs. Integrated a donation system, user membership registration, and cart/wishlist flows. Implemented a document publishing system for historical records, books, and video content with structured archive navigation.

Challenges & Solutions

The main challenge was building a bilingual platform where all content — from party constitution to executive committee listings — needed to be accurately maintained in both English and Bangla. Solved using Odoo's i18n translation framework with a language switcher in the header. Managing structured archive content (articles, books, video, historical documents) required building flexible content types with proper categorization and filtering.

Outcome

Successfully delivered a fully functional, bilingual official party website that supports the LDP's digital outreach across Bangladesh. The platform enables the party to publish news, manage member registrations, accept donations, and maintain a comprehensive archive of political documents and media.
